Mox continuously works on enhancing your banking experience through embracing Open Banking.

Open Banking enables secure and seamless sharing of information between Mox and our trusted third-party service providers (TSPs, including Interbank Account Data Sharing participating banks) with your consent via Open Application Programming Interface (Open API).

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) initiative enables you to securely share your account data between participating banks based on your consent. You have full control over which banks’ account data to share with Mox and can manage or cancel your consents anytime on the Mox App.

You can easily provide consent to enjoy elevated experience and personalized service on the Mox app in a few simple steps.

1. On the Mox app, go to Settings > Security settings > Interbank Account Data Sharing.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions and select the bank(s) you want Mox to have access to.

3. You will be redirected to the selected bank's mobile application. Log in, select the bank accounts whose data you want to share with Mox, and you'll be automatically directed back to Mox app for confirmation.

4. You'll be able to view the balances of your newly connected bank accounts on the Mox app within minutes.

If you wish to view or revoke your consent to share your account information at Mox with other banks, please log into the Mox app and manage under Settings > Security settings > Interbank Account Data Sharing.

What kind of account information will be shared via IADS?

With IADS, Mox will only obtain other banks' deposit account information, including account availability, account status, account balances and account transactions with your consent.

Which types of account at Mox can I choose to share information with third-party providers via IADS?

You can choose to share your deposit information for Mox Account, Goal accounts, Mox Invest Account and MoneySafe accounts with third-party providers.

Which banks or third-party providers are Mox connected with for data sharing via IADS?

Currently, you could share your account information at the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) and Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited with Mox. You could also share your account information at Mox with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC). Stay tuned for more!
