Mox Launches All-In-One Home Cushion Insurance A Single Policy Covers Building, Contents, Moving and Pets and With No Depreciation
Hong Kong, 8 October, 2026 — Mox Bank Limited ("Mox") today announced Home Cushion Insurance, a fully digital home insurance solution now available through the Mox app. Underwritten by QBE Hongkong & Shanghai Insurance Limited (“QBE”), the new service brings the protection of home contents, building structures and third-party liability under a single policy for renters, owner-occupiers and landlords.
Designed to make home protection clear and hassle-free, the policy offers comprehensive coverage such as relocation cover, replacement-as-new settlement protection and temporary pet accommodation for eligible home contents claims. Eligible customers can also receive up to HKD10,000,000 in third-party liability.
To mark the service launch, eligible customers who enrol from now until 31 October 2026 will receive supermarket vouchers worth up to HKD200. Additionally, previous and existing eligible Mox Insure customers will qualify for additional rewards, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Home Cushion Insurance At-a-Glance
Available in three plans to cater to various budget and needs:
- All-in-one protection: Building structures and home contents protection under one policy of up to HKD1,500,000 and HKD100,000, respectively.
- Replacement-as-new: Eligible home contents claims settled at full replacement cost, without depreciation deduction.
- Relocation cover: Up to 28 days' simultaneous protection for existing and new homes, plus transit cover of up to 15% of the Sum insured.
- Pet protection: Essential coverage for temporary pet boarding following major household displacement, along with coverage for pet accidental death or theft.
- Instant in-app enrolment: Apply in just a few taps, with pre-filled details and no hidden fees or lengthy forms.
