Mox alerts public of suspicious website

Hong Kong, 2 February 2024 – Mox Bank Limited (“Mox”) would like to alert the public of a suspicious website using the domain name hxxps://mroxcryptoswap[.]net. This website is not related to Mox. Our official (and only) website is mox.com and all Mox transactions are conducted only via the Mox app.

Mox is not, in any way, involved in the business of the ‘mroxcrytoswap’ domain/ website nor has any relationship with that company.

Customers should not visit or click any suspicious links, download any suspicious files, or provide any information to a doubtful third party or website. If in doubt, please independently verify the third party before providing any information to them – and for anything related to ‘mox’, please contact us directly.

If you are concerned that you may have disclosed sensitive personal information or conducted any financial transactions in association with the ‘mroxcryptoswap’ website, please report the case to the Police or the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) of the Hong Kong Police Force. Mox banking services are only available on the official Mox app which can be downloaded from the official Apple App Store and Google Play. There is no Mox banking service available on any website. Apps downloaded from other channels, including unauthorised websites or unauthorised app stores, may result in theft of your sensitive information or expose you to malware.

If customers are aware of any suspicious websites or apps impersonating Mox, please report these instances to us immediately via hoax@mox.com. If customers identify any abnormality with the Mox App, such as an abnormal layout or unusually slow login responses, please stop using the app and contact us immediately via care@mox.com.
