Your total balance is more than HKD250,000, but why is the 2% Unlimited CashBack still locked?

Your ‘total balance’ on the homepage in the Mox app is different to your eligible balance. Your total balance reflects all assets you hold with Mox. Only cash in your savings accounts count towards your eligible balance. Please note, balances in your Time Deposit Account(s) will not count towards your eligible balance.

To find out your eligible balance:

  1. Click the “2%/3%” icon under Mox Card on the homepage in the Mox app
  2. Under “Unlimited CashBack on all spending”, click “View details”

Where to check if my 2% Unlimited CashBack is unlocked?

1️⃣ Click the Mox Card on the homepage in Mox app, you can see the CashBack rate you earning under the‘CashBack’section.

2️⃣ You can also check the top right icons on homepage in Mox app. If the ‘2%’ icon is locked in grey color, fund in now! Maintain a total eligible balance of HKD250,000 or more, you not only enjoy a higher savings rate but also earn 2% Unlimited CashBack.

To borrow or not to borrow? Borrow only if you can repay!

From 1 December 2025, when you make an eligible Mox Credit Card transaction, if you have (a) an Eligible Balance for Card Rewards of HKD250,000 or more, or (b) completed an Eligible Payroll Transaction of HKD25,000 or more, you may earn unlimited 2% CashBack on the amount of the eligible Mox Credit Card transaction. If you have an Eligible Balance for Card Rewards of below HKD250,000 or have not made an Eligible Payroll Transaction at the time you make an eligible Mox Credit Card transaction, you may earn unlimited 1% CashBack on the amount of eligible Mox Credit Card transaction. “Eligible Balance for Card Rewards” means the ‘available cash balance’, any ‘cash on hold’ and any ‘cash on hold for fund(s)’ in your savings accounts with Mox. For the avoidance of doubt, any ‘cash on hold from unsettled cash’ in your Mox Invest Account or balances in your Time Deposit Account(s) will not constitute ‘Eligible Balance for Card Rewards’. “Eligible Payroll Transaction” means a transaction where your employer pays your salary into your Mox Account via FPS, and the transaction is displayed as ‘Salary’ in the Mox app. For the avoidance of doubt, standing instructions or other local electronic transfers are not considered ‘Eligible Payroll Transactions’. You will be eligible to receive 2% CashBack during the period beginning on and from the day you complete the Eligible Payroll Transaction and ending on the last day of the next calendar month.

⁴From 4 May 2021, earn unlimited CashBack calculated at 1% of the amount of the eligible transaction made with Mox Credit.

⁵From 26 September 2023, earn unlimited CashBack calculated at 3% on the amount of the eligible transaction made with Mox Credit made at ‘supermarkets and grocery stores’, as classified by MasterCard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited).
