We are looking for a Head/Lead of Card Authorisation and Anti-Fraud person to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an overall strategic plan for card authorisation function and card fraud prevention/ detection including but not limited to the identification and assessment of potential risk and vulnerabilities in card transactions and card authorisation process.
  • Share and design control requirements from an-end-to-end perspective for fraud risk management and authorisation in a digital banking business setting.
  • Execute and oversee the card authorisation and fraud monitoring process by reviewing the approved/ declined transactions based on pre-defined rules and risk parameters and manage the risk control executives to achieve a desirable trade-off between risk and return.
  • Perform on-going monitoring and analysis on the authorisation and transactional data to identify patterns and anomalies to indicate fraudulent activity and trigger follow-up actions.
  • Build a comprehensive dashboard or Management Information reports to measure the performance of rule setting and processes on card authorisation and fraud management.
  • Liaise across the organisation (internal stakeholders) to ensure the desired controls have been executed as expected and operated effectively.
  • Work closely and manage external stakeholders including relevant service providers to ensure quality outputs and avoid operational risks.
  • Stay updated with emerging fraud trends, techniques and regulatory changes, and work closely with the first line of defence to implement necessary adjustment for card authorisations, fraud prevention and detection.
  • Report any incidents, issues, potentials gaps to the senior management and the regulator on a timely basis.
  • Collaborate with other teams including Business, Operations, Risk Management and Technology to ensure effective coordination in managing card authorisation and fraud issues.
  • Any ad-hoc issues required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • 8-year work experience in financial industry with solid experience in card payment, authorisation and fraud risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards on card payment network and authorisation, also regulatory requirements in relation to card and fraud prevention.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and analyse data and knowledge in programming skills such as SQL and Python preferred.
  • Attention to details and ability to work under pressure in an agile environment and fast-growing industry.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English.
