Who are we looking for?

You will be part of an energetic legal team and handle a broad range of legal and legal-support work, with a particular focus on: (i) product, marketing and promotions; and (ii) customer disputes and collections processes. You will work closely with the Heads of Legal, all lawyers in the team, and business stakeholders - to develop new products, launch new campaigns, and to assist in management of pre-litigation matters, formal disputes and collections. With the collective aim of achieving the goals of Mox Bank and the legal function - in a bold, collaborative and strategic way.

職責範圍

  • Manage end to end processes for the development of customer terms and conditions (including use of technical tools to publish terms and conditions on the bank’s website and mobile app).
  • Review documents to ensure consistent look and feel from a branding perspective.
  • Translate legal documents (including customer terms and conditions), marketing and promotional materials, customer communications and other customer facing documents from English to Chinese (and vice versa). In part based on feedback from the business team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Update and manage a database of customer terms and conditions and contract templates.
  • Update and manage a database of court orders and notices.
  • Assist in the negotiation and administration of confidentiality agreements, joint promotion agreements, supply agreements and other commercial contracts.
  • Work with internal and external lawyers and administer correspondence and documentation in connection with: (i) customer complaints and disputes; (ii) formal debt collection activities; (iii) bankruptcy proceedings; and (iv) various court orders and notices.
  • Contribute to process improvements, including development and management of policy documentation, contract templates and guidance materials.
  • Generally assist the Head of Legal and Corporate Governance and other lawyers with effective administration of the Legal and Corporate Governance team of Mox Bank.

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience as a paralegal or a similar role in an international law firm or MNC.
  • Professional level proficiency in English and Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified).
  • High level proficiency in MS Word (including usage of formatting functions) and other MS Office software. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint would be an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high standard of work every time.
  • Team player, resourceful, solution-oriented and collaborative.
  • Thrives in an agile/ fast paced environment.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and responsiveness.
  • Can confidently manage many stakeholders (including senior management) at the same time.
  • Can prioritise multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understand business goals and risk appetites, have good commercial sense and business acumen.
  • Curious and enthusiastic, with an interest in fintech or technology more generally.
  • Experience in retail banking, fintech, marketing, public relations would be an advantage.
  • A relevant degree or qualification is preferred, for example in law, business administration or a similar field.
