Who are we looking for?

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is an integral part of our organisation – we are currently recruiting for an well rounded, highly experienced Lead, for our Enterprise Risk Management Team. Our team engages with our firm’s strategic objectives to effectively mitigate any risks across the bank. Given the weighting of this position, we require someone with heavy experience in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) practices and tools. You will actively support the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Enterprise Risk Management in their activities related to implementation and monitoring of the Enterprise Risk Management initiatives that include; Risk Assessment, Risk Profile Reporting, Oversight and Monitoring Risk Management Activities, Risk Appetite Governance, Framework and Policy Governance and Committee Governance.

Responsibilities
  • Actively support the Secretary of Executive Risk Committee (ERC)

  • Support ERC Committee Effectiveness Reviews

  • Renew and review ERC Terms of Reference, Design Risk Reporting Formats, Minute ERC meetings to capture and track agreed actions

  • Liaise with Compliance team and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) (along with other multiple stakeholders across the MOX Business, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Global Risk Team, SCB Regional Risk Team, Internal Audit etc.)

  • Present at the Board Risk Committee (BRC) – support the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to develop BRC agenda, coordinate BRC paper submission and quality assurance with Risk Framework Owner, coordinate with Company Secretary to table papers presented at ERC for BRC endorsement

  • Support the CRO and Company Secretary in reporting

  • Assist with developing the agenda for the MOX Committee

  • Set and renew Committee Governance Standards which govern the running of the Tech Committee, Executive Committee (EXCO) and Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO)

  • Review and implement the Risk Appetite Policy in the bank

  • Reporting – monthly / quarterly reporting of Risk Appetite Metrics

  • You will be involved with Stress Testing – Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Recovery Plan, Reverse Stress Testing

Requirements
  • Education background with related area of study

  • Extensive hands on experience in Bank Risk Governance with ability to accurately describe in depth details about their experience in domain

  • Hands on exposure to practices and terminology in enterprise risk management and operational risk management

  • Strong familiarity with spreadsheet applications

  • Hands on experience working with data

  • Highly motivated with an organized personality and attention to detail

  • Good practice of record keeping and planning
