Head, Cards Portfolio & Personal Loans

Reporting into the Head of Unsecured Lending, you will be responsible for implementing the cards portfolio strategy, product profitability, planning and developing the Personal Loan & Professional Loan products. 


Cards Portfolio:

  • Responsible for revenue management for the credit card portfolio through management of cardholder outstandings.
  • Conceive and implement programs to increase cardholder outstandings in a manner which increases Risk adjusted Returns through:
  • Management of the Credit Line of all cardholders by conceptualising proactive and with dox Credit line increases. 
  • Xsell programs.
  • To constantly scan the existing portfolio to offer Credit line increase in a manner which builds outstanding.
  • Conceptualize and implement programs, which increases the proportion of responsible revolvers in the cards portfolio.
  • Increase cash usage in a manner, which does not increase loss rate.
  • New accounts profitability management through sales of a range of balance building and fee based products. 
  • Conceptualize and launch APR offers to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Risk based pricing.
  • Implement Balance Transfer programs for new and existing customers and builds defenses against BT from the portfolio.
  • Manage all the above activities through end to end digital processes. Position is also responsible for managing the MIS and activities for the above programs.
  • Segmentation and ongoing analysis of existing customer base to recommend “cluster” based strategies in line with business objectives.
  • Work with analytics to develop Portfolio profitability modeling along key financial drivers.
  • To constantly track competition activity to keep abreast of new products / programs and understand their application / use in the context of Mox Credit program.
  • Increase fee income from the cardbase. Work with the insurance provider to tailor make and launch insurance products for the cardbase. 
  • Thorough in depth analysis and understanding of the portfolio, card usage habits, credit card spend categories - conceive and implement segmented spends and usage programs to increase per account spends.
  • Identify opportunities for card usage in new categories and build programs to achieve that.
  • Increase card usage through value added offers / alliances with key partners including instalment lending.
  • Ensure that through regular program and promotions, the customer sees value on his Mox Credit and the relationship is continuously strengthened. 
  • Reduce cardholder inactivity through well-targeted usage and spends program. Activate and increase outstanding on dormant and low spend accounts
  • Launch events/promotions, which add value to the card offering and build Mox brand, increase cardholder involvement and usage.

Personal Loans:

  • Focus on Profitability to achieve the Interest Income and Non Fund Income budgets.
  • Identify opportunities and contribute to the development of new products and services.
  • Manage and Maintain the development of strong and differentiated and best in class product offerings
  • Manage the development and implementation of strategies to cover: Customers /Processes / Competition.
  • Develop strategies for revenue generation through cross sale route.
  • Derive insights to competitor strategies and take proactive steps.
  • Continuously upgrade and innovate products to be perceived as “value add” bank to customers and the market.
  • Product positioning including advertising and promotions in conjunction with marketing services.
  • Solid experience in the unsecured business (Other functional experience Credit / Sales preferred).
  • Track record of successful implementation of product variants and innovative customer offerings.
  • Demonstrated ability in business planning relating to sales, distribution, credit and service.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Ability to manage and implement change initiatives by taking ownership and working with all stakeholders.
  • Strong inter-personal skills and leadership ability, which encourages and promotes enthusiasm and team spirit.
