To guide the architectural journey, Mox is seeking a highly skilled Chief Architect.

The Chief Architect will play a crucial role in translating the bank’s vision and direction into actionable target architectures and roadmaps to meet our customer’s needs in the present and the future.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience at a Chief Architect level, with a deep understanding of financial services and underlying applications, a good understanding of both traditional IT- and modern cloud-based infrastructures.

Chief Architect reports hierarchically to the CIO and manages a team of Enterprise and Domain Architects on a functional level. The Chief Architect has the business, technical and leadership skills to create the designs for solutions and/or references, in response to the strategic business needs of the bank.

Candidates must be passionate about IT and related banking processes, the team and Mox. You will bring in a broad, holistic, perspective when it comes to problem-solving and building solutions and will be able to make convincing, evidence-based decisions.

You’ll have a passion for quality and be uncompromising when it comes to delivering the highest quality solutions. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully manage the stakeholder landscape.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with CIO and Tech management team to define a comprehensive architectural and technology vision.

  • Driving the execution of future state Tech architectures and Roadmaps.

  • Defining standard architectures and supporting effective architecture decisions with well-defined processes and artifacts.

  • Managing the team of architects and acting as a sparring partner to the CIO and Tech management team.

  • Defines and drives implementation of architectural Epics/Features at own initiativeProvides subject-matter expert assistance when the architectural vision goes to execution mode, to ensure convergence towards the architectural target state.

  • Represents Mox towards relevant external parties (peers in other banks, regulators, IT industry peers, and academic researchers) for architectural topics.

  • Initiates and leads market, vendor, and product studies. Knows the latest global scale developments on technology and financial services market.

  • Drives the architecture guild and proposes enhancement to the Mox way of working to cover crucial architectural aspects.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. education in computer science or a related area.

  • 10+ years’ professional experience at management level in an IT architecture / banking environment is a must.

  • Ability to convey your technical and complex ideas in an engaging and understandable way.

  • Proven track record of developing and operating strategic infrastructure services in a large enterprise.

  • Proven experience with agile methodologies in an international matrix organisation.

  • Ability to build strategic roadmaps.

  • Innovative and critical thinker with a passion for problem-solving.

  • Stakeholder management experience.

  • Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact.

  • Understanding of banking regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Excellent level of English.
